SUMMARY OF THE DAY
An important strategic conversation around the future of education for Lithuania and the world began today in the form of a training in the Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter. Teachers and Learners of all ages stepped boldly into a rich program combining theory, tools and opportunities to practice learning in collaboration.
Participants gathered in Padvaiskas manor to share their ideas about inovation in education. At first, participants introduced themselves, telling some basic information: 'who we are, where are we from and what is our work?'. After this the participants were introduced to circle practice which soon was put to practice. All shared their reasons for why they came here and what they would like to change or do better in education. Very different experiences were shared among people from different countries and different fields of education; teachers and educators, students, principals, parents, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education, representatives from business and NGO’s. It was appreciated that right from the start, participants were conversing with each other and sharing their experience as equals. Talks were passionate, informative and eye-opening and participants enjoyed sharing ideas and dreams as well as hearing other's opinions, tips and feed-back. |
