SUMMARY OF THE DAY
The fifth and final day dawned and participants gathered. Two participants told a story about how every one of us can grow our
values from simple seeds. Then Mary Alice told us about the Eight Breaths design architecture; where and how
we could use it.
After that Harvest team invited everyone to the Harvest House to review the harvest material. In the Harvest House they we saw again what we had created and learned together during these days. We gathered in two smaller circles and ach of us was invited to share one word to express what we were taking away from this project. Back in the main room we were given a tour of the harvest website AoH website, a fairytale harvest story was shared and the provocateurs shared comments gathered from their posters of creative questions which had hung during the training in variuos locations to stimulate reflection. A group photo and lunch preceded the final circle in the afternoon, during which we wrote a letter to our future self. Whether it was a question of what were our next steps as a community or a more personal one, people took their time to express what was in their hearts and minds. This letter will be mailed to us 2 months from now to remind us of our personal commitments to ourselves. And then the closing check out, which took the form of a Circle of Commitment. The middle of room became a space where people could speak their commitments for moving forward from here. The rest of us were able to indicate our support in different ways. Peoples who support them and want to stand with them could join them and together jump into the circle. These were an amazing five days. We learned new methods for how we can work with different people and find answer to important questions. We not only learned how we could use new methods but importantly, we could try it practically too. Even as people packed to leave, conversations about possible future collaborations, exchanging contacts and discussing the educational system could be overheard. The power of building bridges between people, organizations and ideas was manifesting in its finest form. The wind of changes in education is finally here.
